Stonehaven is a small shop in Rome, which is about an hour and a half from Atlanta. They have a great selection of stones for all your witchy needs. It’s always worth checking out a shop’s Facebook page for current specials before shopping. I visited the day after Black Friday when they had a promotion going on where they were giving away a free salt lamp to anyone who spent more than $50.00 in their store. That was a great deal! What blew my mind, though, were the selenite lamps on the left side of the shop when I first entered. I’m in love with selenite, and these were ethereal. When I can afford to drop some money on myself after the holidays, I’m getting one.
As the shop name implies, Stonehaven has stones everywhere. There is floor to ceiling glass display cases along one wall, some custom made wooden revolving cases, glass display cases near the register, and tables set out with very unusual display baskets and hand-crafted bowls. These were as interesting as the stones themselves (see the photo of the pottery head with rocks inside). What made this shop stand out to me, however, were the supply of raw, or unpolished stones they had in large containers throughout the room. So, if you’re looking to work with a piece that hasn’t been handled much and tumbled, this might be your place. Signs that give information on what the stones can be used for are placed throughout the shop – always a plus in my book.
While Stonehaven’s focus is on their stones, the shop also has many other items of interest. They have several different kinds of incense, sage sticks, chime candles, candle holders, and many other items that would make great gifts (even for yourself!). This shop is definitely worth the visit and you won’t leave empty handed!
