Marie Laveau’s House of Voodoo

I visited probably 10 magick shops in New Orleans before I thought to make this site. The ones listed are the ones I remember the most, but I’ll rectify this on my next visit

Marie Laveau’s House of Voodoo
739 Bourbon Street
New Orleans, LA 70116
(504) 581-3751
Website: http://voodooneworleans.com
Unless you go in the first couple of hours of opening, this shop is so packed that it’ll be tough to move around. While it is one of the biggest attractions in the French Quarter, it’s still a fantastic place. The shop has plenty of the typical voodoo dolls that one expects, as well as candles and incense, and they have a great selection of ounga bags for every occasion. Yes, it’s touristy, but, you can still find real supplies if you look. Are the oils and dolls made by hand onsite? Doubtful, but that’s expected with the volume of sales that this place does. If you know what you’re looking for, or want to know information about something, just ask. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful as long as you’re respectful.
