Hex (New Orleans Location)

I visited probably 10 magick shops in New Orleans before I thought to make this site. The ones listed are the ones I remember the most, but I’ll rectify this on my next visit

Hex (2 locations)
1219 Decatur Street
New Orleans, LA 70116
(504) 613-0558

246 Essex Street
Salem, MA 01970
(978) 666-0765

So far I have only been to the location in New Orleans but hope to visit the second location in Salem someday soon. I’ve been to several occult shops in New Orleans, and Hex turned out to be my favorite. They had some great people working there who were very friendly and helpful, and not being on Bourbon Street probably helps them accommodate customers better. While Marie Laveau’s shop focuses on Voodoo, Hex is an all-around witchcraft shop. They have an excellent selection of semi-precious stones (and helpful details about the powers of each one), spell candles and incense, books, and special spell bags containing all the tools you’ll need. Items seem to be reasonably priced, and their website is always up to date on what’s available. I can’t say for sure that all of their oils and candles are locally made, but I did see a shopkeeper hand wrapping the coffin nails while counting to 13. Sometimes little things make a difference.
